General Description
When you step onto Baros Island Resort you step into a world of

journey. Thick vegetation conceals this romantic hideaway from
the outside world and a score of hidden delights will greet you
once you step out of the boat and through the resort's welcome

Informal pathways with soft sand underfoot, and fringed by green
shrubs and waving palms meander through the island leading to
delightfully secluded thatched bungalows set amidst the island's
lush green vegetation. The latest addition to the resort are 16
water bungalows fanning out over the crystal lagoon, ensuring
that you will awaken to the gentle lapping of the sea every

Accommodation
Baros offers a choice of three different kinds of
accommodation ranging from the ultimate in luxury to more laid
back relaxation. Whether you want the sumptuous luxury of suites
or deluxe rooms, or the more casual comfort of the resort's
latest additions-16 new water bungalows-we have it all waiting
for you. All the rooms are built from wood and other natural
materials, subtly blending with the island's natural
surroundings, and the polished wooden floors add a touch of
luxury underfoot.
All the rooms are fitted with air conditioning, mini bars,
coffee and tea making facilities, an individual safe,
hairdryers, and piped music. Telephones are also available with
IDD facilities. Whatever your choice of room, you are guaranteed

special lengths to secure some of the finest chefs in the world
to cater to your gastronomic needs. They have gone to great
trouble to create an international cuisine of the highest
standing and quality. The resort also prides itself on its
selection of fine wines imported from various places ranging
from France to Africa, and which are available in all our
restaurants.
All our dining facilities are in open sided pavilions set amidst
the island's tropical vegetation. Overhead fans and cool sea

Scuba Diving
The Maldives is reputedly the best place on earth to dive,
so whether you're an experienced diver or a complete beginner,
you have the opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful
underwater places in the world. Experienced PADI instructors are
available to teach you what you need to know, and at the end of
the course you will have your PADI certificate so you can return
again to dive. Instruction is available in Dutch, English and
German, and all equipment is available at the Baros Dive School. |
